Commercial Ventilation – Our Solutions
Ventilation Our Way
Do you want fresh air into Your premises? This is how We do it: our air handling units bring fan-driven ambient, filtered, dried and heated fresh air indoors and replace the used, dirty air by pushing it outdoors. The heat recovery system from exhaust air to supply air is included as a standard. The (EN 308) energy efficiency for the fixed plate heat recovery in our machines is closing to 95 %, 90 % for rotary wheel heat recovery and 68 % for run around heat recovery system with glycol coils.
We also manufacture supply and exhaust air handling units without heat recovery, if ordered and customize Kesair AHUs according to Your needs.
Air Handling Units with Heat Recovery
AHU’s are composed of fan-driven supply and exhaust air channels, and an energy-efficient heat exchanger. Using Kesair air handling units means, that rather than losing your precious indoor heat to exhaust air, you benefit by its heat to the indoor air.
The supply air is first filtered and then heated with water-filled radiators or with electric heaters. Filtering protects You from harmful particles and air pollution from outside. Supply air cooling, on the other hand, makes the inside air comfortably cool in hot summer months.
Kesair uses three types of heat exchangers in their air handling units; fixed plate heat exchangers, rotary thermal wheels or run around heat recovery system with glycol coils. Air handling units can also be constructed such, that they merely rotate the indoor air without replacing it. This actualizes through a set of specific dampers that lock the airflow in the desired area. In this situation, only a portion of the indoor air is replaced with outdoor air.
Supply and Exhaust Air Handling units
Supply air handling units bring fresh, heated outdoor air indoors, replacing the used, dirty air. Exhaust air handling units then return the used air back outside. These units can be installed separately or combined. These systems do not generally include heat recovery, but it can be added into the exhaust air handling unit. Heat recovery occurs in accessory glycol radiators which then emit the recovered heat to the supply air.

Grease and Steam Filtering for Commercial Kitchens
The big challenges in food service ventilation, are the hot vapours of cooking, i.e., steam and airborne grease. They will eventually create a damp, sticky layer inside the air ducts, which then works as an adhesive attracting dust and dirt and eventually becoming a fire hazard. To avoid this, use our durable, ducted extractor hoods, grease traps and grease filters. They are easy to mount, utilise and sanitize. Kesair extract hoods are made to measure, so you can always get just the size and shape you require.
We manufacture three different types of grease traps; ART-1 is a flat model designed for tight spots and small volumes of air. Models ARA and ARV are designed for larger volumes of air. Model ARV is a V-shaped grease trap and has one-sided extraction. It is the best choice when cooking takes place facing a wall. ARA on the other hand is an A-shaped grease trap having double sided extraction. It is best suited for island-shaped cooking areas, where it can extract air from both sides.
Assembly and Maintenance
Keep our excellent Kesair–equipment in good working order with correct assembly and regular maintenance. It is vital to make sure that the units will run efficiently and work as well as intended. You will find the advice here.
